Escobar’s is the first Brazilian Steakhouse Rodizio in Newcastle. After analysing the case, we detected that its point of strength was its particular style of serving unlimited meat directly carved at the table for its customers. However, this novelty was also its weakness when it faced potential customers that ignore how a rodizio works. It was commonly put on the same level as a cheap buffet instead of being seen as a high-end restaurant like the owners planned to be.
With the intention of rectify this issue, we created an explanatory animated video to be posted on the website and social media and to be played at the front of the restaurant, so indecisive passers-by could have a better understanding of the menu and the restaurant’s serving style.
In addition, we made an online marketing campaign contacting the main companies in the area offering special deals for employees, achieving a large number of new customers and bookings for business parties during Christmas.
